Welcome to my Avid Seamstress The Blouse Review post. I sewed this top as part of a Minerva Kit as a Minerva Brand Ambassador. Minerva Kits include all the notions you need to sew up a pattern – yardage, interfacing, buttons, matching thread – the whole shindig. Which I love, because if you are like me and get stuck in perfectionism of try to get ‘just the right zipper’ or ‘just the perfect zipper’ then these kits are bangers! They take the mental space out of my head when I tend to overanalyse. This was the first kit that I had worked with and I thoroughly enjoyed sewing from start to finish and just focusing on elevating the process. I am converted to the kit mode of sewing – whether that’s buying a full kit before I start or making sure each project has all notions before I embark on it.

If you haven’t sewn with Avid Seamstress sewing patterns then you’ll be in for a treat. The instructions are very well laid out with pictures to guide you along the way.

I found that I wore this top a lot over the summer as it seemed to go with anything. It’s quite an easy-to-wear sort of top that worked even when we were camping in our relatives’ garden for a weekend.
