This post is a review of Knipmode 2/2020 line drawings. Knipmode is a Dutch sewing magazine that I have been subscribing to for 2 years. This year, one of my sewing goals involves Knipmode sewing – check out this Knipmode January 2020 post here for more.
In the past, tracing patterns from the Knipmode pattern sheets has been a challenge. However, since discovering erasable highlighters, this job has become easier. These nifty heat erase markers mean that I can easily see the pattern lines. You can see my full review of them here.
KnipMode 2/2020 – My thoughts
This issue didn’t wow me at all. There were perhaps a couple of classic styles that will be popular for years to come like the trench coat. Here are some of my favorites.
Knipmode February 2020 Favourites
This jacket looks like it could be something special but the magazine pictures were lackluster – it was hard to tell if it is fitted or not. The styling options weren’t all that great either – the white fabric used didn’t show up the seam lines – it would have been useful to see where they were landing on the model.
And yet, despite all those issues I am piqued enough to add this to my shortlist. It would look amazing in denim with mustard topstitching details…..
The raglan sleeve trench coat has some beautiful design lines. In the magazine, they also sewed it up in a crepe fabric as a dress. I liked the concept of a trench dress and would sew it up as a dress.

Burda 2019 – All the styles at a glance
I love sewing with sewing fashion magazines like Knipmode and Burda. In part, because of the great value for money, I get, but also that I can store the patterns easier than envelope patterns.

I hope you enjoyed this post on Knipmode 2/2020 line drawings review. Though this issue didn’t wow me I still love the magazine itself and the joy I get from flipping through the issues looking for sewing ideas.
